Vrelo Cave

This beautiful cave is placed 200 meters from your doorstep. Vrelo Cave, discovered serendipitously in the 1950s during the construction of the Bajer reservoir. Estimated to be 3.5-4 million years old, this cave, though only 300 meters long, boasts stunning formations, earning it the nickname “Postojna in small.”

The true gem of Vrelo Cave lies in its water features. A beautiful mountain spring, lake, and abyss exist just fifty meters away, enhancing its allure. The cave’s clear and cold mountain stream, sourced from the Ličanka river basin, occasionally floods the cave during heavy rainfall, adding to its dynamic beauty.

What makes Vrelo Cave truly exceptional is its accessibility. With a mild terrain and no stairs, it stands as the only tourist cave in Europe suitable for visitors of all ages, including children, the elderly, and those in wheelchairs.
